Samantha Mishko
- Position :Law Clerk
Samantha, growing up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, witnessed first-hand the power of successful co-parenting. Despite her parent’s divorce, they always prioritized their children’s needs. This positive example paired with witnessing so many friends and acquaintances go through the opposite, with messy divorce and custody situations, drew Sam to Family Law. Her real-life experience provides her with a keen insight as to what the divorce and custody paths can be when focusing on the goal of achieving independence and of fostering healthy relationships.
Sam brings a unique perspective to her work, with her background as a Forensic Psychologist, she empathizes with the emotional complexities of divorce and offers coping strategies to navigate these challenging waters. Her goal? To honor clients for who they are, meet them where they are, and guide them toward happier, healthier lives—for themselves and their children.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Women’s and Gender studies from Duquesne University. She then earned her Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University and worked in the field with troubled youth and adolescents for several years. Feeling a calling to the Law, she then went on to achieve her Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Having worked as a Law Clerk for a President Judge, as an intern with various government agencies in Pennsylvania, and as a Law Clerk in private law firms, she brings to the table a wide variety of skills and knowledge.
Sam has made Charlotte her home, and loves spending time working out, watching Duke Basketball, listening to true-crime podcasts, and having fun with her boyfriend and two rescued pups.
